Down Home's Empower Up Program is seeking applicants who are motivated to actively participate in this one-of-a-kind empowerment program and meet the following criteria:
1. Committed to attending 6 hours of empowerment skills training in-person during daytime hours Monday - Thursday.
2. Experienced homelessness at some point.
3. Currently have housing OR you will attain housing within the completion of the program.
4. Currently experiencing barriers to furnish your home and have little or no furniture (ie: lack of finances, family support system)
5. Have transportation to attend all 3 sessions which will take place at Down Home (2102 12th St N Fargo, ND)
6. Committed to stabilizing and remaining in the Fargo-Moorhead Area and completing a Pay It Forward plan.
7. Committed to remaining in communication with Down Home Connections Coordinators for at least 1 year post move-in.
8. Responsive to text and phone communications to schedule 1:1 sessions. Please note: failure to communicate will result in automatic withdrawal from the program.
